Set within the bushland of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, this residence sits in a Bushfire Attack Level – Flame Zone (BAL-FZ) area, the highest classification under AS 3959.

The challenge was to meet those requirements while keeping the home’s relationship with its garden and the surrounding bush. Fire-rated glazing let the living spaces stay open to the landscape, with the openings the architecture called for.
