Bundanon Art Museum
Hot-dip galvanised steel frames with double glazing, supporting NCC Section J energy requirements.
Bundanon is a centre for the arts and learning set on 1,000 hectares of wildlife refuge in the Shoalhaven region of New South Wales, on the Country of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups.
The site is rated Bushfire Attack Level – Flame Zone (BAL-FZ), the highest level of bushfire exposure under AS 3959. Nilfire’s raw steel frames were hot-dip galvanised, giving the building a robust, industrial finish that also protects the steel. The windows and doors were double glazed to improve thermal performance and support compliance with the energy efficiency requirements of Section J of the National Construction Code.
